Many days i've traveled down,
this straight and narrow road,
finally i turned around and found,
what was lightening my load,
Scattered all along the trail,
as far as i could see,
items that i knew too well,
the things i thought were me.
Just behind a chunk of pride,
a little further was some greed,
all these things i used to hide,
i thought someday i'd need.
There's a sport i loved so well,
i would hold in high esteem,
i didn't know and couldn't tell,
in my eyes they were a beam.
So many things that caused me strife,
that i gave such time and place.,
The Lord removed them from my life,
so i could see His face.
