A lot of thought has gone into this page, after all if there is ANYTHING more important than knowing God i'd like to hear it. A lot of people have formulas and methods to accomplish this and i don't want to disagree with any of them, just tell what i know and have experienced. First things first, if you don't think you need God or have never done anything to need His forgiveness neither i nor God can help you. If you want to get real and admit you have done things that weren't right, join the club, we all have. God knew we would and made a way for us to be forgiven. He sent His Son, you know Him as Jesus, to pay the price for your sins. The Bible says whoever you obey that is who you belong to so if you are running with the devil guess where you will end up? If you are tired of heading the wrong way and are ready to get real with God (if you are not ready to get real with God, don't try to con Him you'll only waste your time) then let Him know.  You've probably heard the word repent before, simply put it means to change your mind.   The best way i know to communicate with God is to talk to Him as if He were right beside you and speak from the heart, He likes that. He promised in His word that all who call upon the name of the Lord (Jesus) will be saved. After you have had a heart to heart with God it is very important to tell somebody about it. If you really meant it you will probably find it easy to do. The next thing to do is READ THE BIBLE early and often. There are about as many different opinions about God and how to worship, serve, obey, etc. Him as there are web sites on the net so go straight to the source and be patient, it takes time to learn and God knows that. I would recommend that you read the book of John first and then the rest of the first four books of the New Testament. These are called the Gospels and tell the story of and sayings of Jesus. This is important because in Matthew (the first of the gospels) chapter 7 verses 24-27 Jesus said: " Therefore Whosoever heareth THESE SAYINGS OF MINE, and DOETH THEM, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth THESE SAYINGS OF MINE and DOETH THEM NOT, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the wind blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it." Notice that the rain, flood and wind beat on both houses so don't be surprised when it happens, just make sure your house (life, faith) is built on the sayings of Jesus! If your saying to yourself "this guys wasting his time, I'm too far gone" then click the link you just read and you might change your mind. As this site expands i will add more of my experiance in getting to know God and in the mean time feel free to e-mail me with any questions. If i can answer i will, just remember that sometimes i don't know will be the only honest answer i can give.

Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but by me." While i'm not sure how that works for people who have never heard the name Jesus, It is certain how it works for those who have heard. Jesus Himself said in John 15;22 "If I had not come and spoken to them, they had not had sin, but now they have no cloke for their sin." He also said in John 8;24 "if ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins." Either Jesus is the Son Of God or He was the biggest con man in history. It is up to you to decide and now that you know the story you have no excuse when you stand before God. You have three paths before you, reject Jesus, put the decision off and find out more which won't offend God but your taking your chances, or accept Jesus as your personal savior by asking Him to forgive your sins and live in your heart. If you choose door #3 He also said in John 6;37 "he that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."
