When David was hiding from Saul, he still defended Israel. When he agreed to fight Saul by joining the Philistines, God prevented him. David could have killed Saul in the cave but would not. The farther David seemed to be from his destiny, the closer he was getting to the throne, one thing David did not do was take his destiny in his own hands. He left his destiny and his legacy in Gods hands. Only God and David know the character lessons David learned in the cave and other places to prepare him for his destiny. Don't despise any season of your life, the most difficult can be the most profitable and the most wonderful, if your attitude is right. It may be your attitude that determines the length of your season.

Planted by waters, expected to grow,
given the duty to lead,
first in the food chain given to man,
designed for another's need.
I bloom in the spring with flowers bright,
knowing they'll soon disappear,
the giving of beauty is not my command,
i continue my growth without fear.
Soon there is fruit and i am fulfilled,
my branches are heavy and full,
along comes a man with food as his need,
my fruit is released with a pull.
Soon it is gone and Summer is past,
my leaves start to change then they fall,
seasons have changed and winter is near,
when cold bitter winds come to call.
But cold bitter winds cannot hurt my growth,
only take my dead branches away,
because here by the waters i'm planted by God,
and here by the waters i stay!

Is God getting you ready for the throne? Hang in there Christian and let Him work His way in you, only He knows what circumstances it will take. His intention is to mold you not crush you.
Psalm 1:1-3
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
God Bless,
