The Nature of the Bible study is going to change. For the next 3 weeks i will send a study on Hezekiah and then instead of a weekly study it will be a periodical that i'll send out when something fresh is ready. When i began this i was of determined to do it as long as the Spirit gave me the words. Lately i have been wrestling with wanting to continue but knowing that the Spirit was moving in a different direction in my life and asking me to do what i am doing today. Since i want to be where the anointing is for my life, i surrender and happily so. If any of you want to be removed from the mailing list just send me an e-mail and i will gladly do it. Also if any of you want me to send you some of the past studies that you may have missed i will happily do that as well, just send me a note to let me know so i don't fill up people's in boxes unnecessarily and i will send you 1 every week like usual.
As i have said before, my main and first anointing in the kingdom is intercession and He just let me do this i think to let some of the overflow go to a productive purpose John 6:12 When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. and so i wouldn't burst at the seems with the things He was showing me and having no way to really let it out. (Everyone around me thinks i'm an overzealous nut and were getting really tired of hearing me telling them about all this stuff i'm sure :-) So thanks for giving me a place to let the river flow through me. You know rivers are funny things, you gather enough water in one place and it's going to flow somewhere!
For today instead of a study, i'd like to let you know what i have gotten out of this so far. It has been a curious observation in my life that anytime i get enough information about something to show someone else, i always learn something new showing someone what i thought i already knew pretty well. That has been the case all along during the study. As i would begin to do the weeks study, the Spirit would quicken scripture that would apply and sometimes take it in a different direction than i had intended. Jesus told Nicodemus the following in John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. This is as true today as when He said it and i only want to do my best to be led by the Spirit of God because i've been on both sides of it and it's always better to go through a storm with the Spirit that a sunny day without.
In addition to learning new truths in the scripture, i am more fulfilled today than at anytime in my life. Only the Father knows what my future holds and what He will have for me, it may well be that the study will resume sometime, but whatever the future holds, the last few years of His overall plan for my life has left me both drained and filled at the same time. It is my belief that where the Lord leads He gives both passion and continuing strength. When something He has commanded has been accomplished the passion and strength go to the next mission, i can hardly wait!
For anyone out there struggling to do something they believe God has told them to do, these next two paragraphs are for you. Everything but God has a beginning and an end and both thresholds are sometimes hard to cross. If God has told you to do something you will never be satisfied doing anything else. He knows all the reasons it takes us a while to obey sometimes but He will never let you miss it unless you say no. The sooner you say yes and begin the better. He will give you what you need, He never sends you on a mission without equipping you to do the job. When He asks you to do something, He will give you the recourses and if you look back at your life, chances are you will see that He has been training you for years to do it. He is a good as well as wise God and He knows your situation. Another thing He often does is ask you to step out in faith and do something that cannot be done without His help! There are many reasons for this but let me just say that doing it this way is best for you, Him and His kingdom. It also is a good way to tell the difference between those that were sent and those that just went.
If you don't encounter any resistance after a while, better get on your knees and see if you are headed in the right direction, few if any, of God's servants didn't encounter any resistance and usually sooner or later it will involve those who are closest to you. Remember when satan used Peter to try to talk Jesus out of going to the cross? Matthew 16:22 and 23 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Notice that Jesus didn't rebuke Peter, He knew the voice of satan no matter whose mouth it came out of, this is a good thing to remember because if you are doing God's will, the devil will try anything and use anyone to distract you.
Again, thanks for listening, i consider it an honor and a privilege to be able to carry a little water for the kingdom and i pray and trust that He has been able to make your way a little clearer in the process.
Until next week the Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
